profile1 Robert Garfield Jackson (1886-1929), was born on 26 March, and was educated in Lexington until 1897. He graduated from Lawrence High School in Lawrence, Kansas, and from the University of Kansas School of Fine Arts in 1898.

Robert was a pianist at St. Paul's A.M.E. Church in Lexington, and an organist at Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church in Kansas City, Missouri (1904-1929). He was a Music Professor at Western University (1903-1929) in Quindaro, Kansas, and Dean of Music at Western University in Kansas City, Kansas in 1909.

Robert was married to Clara Marie Wallace (1880-1931), in Lawrence in 1903, and they divorced around 1912. She was a schoolteacher in Lawrence, KS in 1915.

Robert and Clara had the following children:
Marie Antoinette Jackson
Aleta Viola Jackson

Robert married Antoinette, a Jackson Jubilee Singer in 1918. Antoinette died in 1930.

Edward William Jackson (1881-1948), was born in Lexington, KY and graduated from Chandler Normal School in 1899. He was a Rural Route Carrier in Lexington (1909-) for 30 years. Later he was a licenced mortician. He died and was buried in Lexington.

Edward and Edmonia(??-1969) had one daughter, Ethelda.


profile1 Cornelius Gardner Jackson (1882-1939), was born on 25 November in Lexington, KY, and graduated in 1900 from Chandler Normal School. He attended the Hampton Institute, in Hampton, VA after 1900. Cornelius died In Kansas City, Kansas.

Jessie Belle Powell (1885-1982) was the wife of Cornelius (1907-1908), and they had one daughter, Temperance Beatrice Jackson.
